Krakowskie Centrum Medyczne is a Private Medical Centre present on Krakow market of medical services for 15 years. Currently there are 84 specialists working in the Centre, among them an internist, gynaecologists, laryngologist, alergologist, surgeon, dermatologist, diabetologist, endocrinologist, geriatrist, haematologist, hepatologist, cardiologist, occupational medicine and family medicine doctor, neurologist, oculist, oncologist, orthopaedist, pulmonologist, rheumatologist and urologist. We offer comprehensive diagnostics and treatment in internal diseases, specialized procedures including surgery. We also conduct advanced clinical trials in many fields. We have a fully computerized data base of 90.000 patients. The diagnostics and treatment of osteoporosis is conducted as part of a contract with the NFZ (National Health Fund).

The director of the Centre is prof. Edward Czerwiński (former Head of the Orthopaedic Clinic, currently Head of the Department of Bone and Joint Diseases of the Jagiellonian University Medical College), a practitioner with the experience of 37 years who holds diplomas of Polish and foreign universities.

We possess modern medical equipment for bone densitometry (Hologic Delphi), USG (Siemens) with a set of heads, oculist apparatuses: auto refractometer, non-contact pneumatic tonometer, slit lamp with an applanation tonometer and others. We collect material for all blood and urine analytical tests as well as cytology on the spot. We offer subscription-based medical care and health insurance. Within the scope of cooperation with other centres we also carry out radiology and mammography tests.

Independently of the medical and service activity we also conduct scientific research and health promotion. The Centre team participates in the organization of national conventions on osteoporosis and supports the Polish Portal of Osteoporosis www.osteoporoza.pl. Prof. Edward Czerwiński is a well known specialist in the field of osteoporosis and orthopaedics in the world. He is a member of numerous editorial scientific committees and scientific societies in Poland and abroad. He conducts many research themes in cooperation with foreign centres. He is the author of 322 papers published in Poland and abroad.

The Centre is situated at Kopernika street, a well known street in Poland, among the Clinics of the University Hospital in Krakow, which allows us to offer our patients medical care of the highest quality. The newly restored building has spacious and attractive (air-conditioned) rooms available for patients and doctors. There is a car park and also a garden.
